<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrying device to be used in an image forming device for allowing efficient and safe jammed paper removing work while suppressing an increase in the size. <P>SOLUTION: A paper carrying part 1 has guide plate closing mechanisms 4, 4, and an upper guide plate part 2 where a recessed portion 5 is provided for a roller 4c of the guide plate closing mechanism 4 to be set therein, thus suppressing an increase in the total height. In the recessed portion 5, an inclined portion 7 is provided for serving a stored condition locking mechanism for the paper carrying part 1 and a closed condition holding mechanism for the upper guide plate part 2 in combination. When the upper guide plate 2 as opened stores the paper carrying part 1, the guide plate closing mechanism 4 abuts on the upper guide plate 2 and the upper guide plate 2 is closed. During storing the paper carrying part 1, when the roller 4c rides over the inclined portion 7 into the condition of going along a sloping portion 7a, thrust f works on the sloping portion 7a in the vertical direction, as upper guide plate closing force Fc and carrying unit locking force F1, and a carrying unit is held not to be moved in the storing direction by the carrying unit locking force F1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
