PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and inexpensively realize pixel circuits having a function of current measurement in an image display device.

SOLUTION: The image display device includes: a plurality of the pixel circuits; a display panel 5 equipped with a first power-supply line 11 and a second power-supply line 12 commonly supplying a power-supply voltage to each pixel circuit, and a current detection circuit 24, connected to the second power-supply line 12, detecting the current flowing in each pixel circuit; a detection current memory section 4 for storing and holding the current value detected by the current detection circuit 24; and a current measurement controller 3 for controlling the timing to cause the current detection circuit 24 to operate.
