<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To leave stripe-like noise without lacking it in image reduction processing. <P>SOLUTION: In an information processing apparatus 1, an evaluation value arithmetic processing unit 12 calculates, based on a pixel value of a target pixel and pixel values of pixels around the target pixel, an evaluation value representing a probability for the pixel value of each of pixels constituting an image captured by a scanner to contain stripe-like noise for each pixel.
