A cuboidal pack (10), in particular for cigarettes, is enclosed by an outer wrapper (11) made of sheet material. The latter is removed with the aid of a tear-open strip (19). A revenue-stamp label (23) is positioned on the pack (10), in the region of a rear wall (14) of the same, such that upon actuation of the tear-open strip and/or upon removal of the outer wrapper (11), the label (23) is severed along at least one perforation line (29) such that one piece (24) remains connected to the pack (10) and another piece (25) remains connected to the outer wrapper (11).
