PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing cartridge and a process cartridge capable of securing degree of freedom in layout while attaining miniaturization.SOLUTION: A developing cartridge 25 includes: a cartridge frame 51 for accommodating developer; a drive side gear cover 62 arranged on a left side of the cartridge frame 51 and covering a developer coupling 61 to which rotation drive force is input from the outside; and a detection side gear cover 72 arranged on a right side of the cartridge frame 51 and covering a new product detection gear 71 to be detected by external detection means. The drive side gear cover 62 and the detection side gear cover 72 respectively include separation engagement parts (a first separation engagement part 66 and a second separation engagement part 76) to be engaged with separation members 44 of a drum cartridge 24.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
