PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shovel capable of improving operability in crane work when a revolving mechanism is driven by an electric motor for revolution.SOLUTION: A shovel comprises: a lower traveling body; an upper revolving body mounted on the lower traveling body; an electric motor for revolution which drives the upper revolving body to revolve; an operation device which places the upper revolving body in revolving operation; a mode selection switch operated to select a crane work mode; and a controller which sets a target rotating speed according to a manipulated variable of the operation device and performs speed control over the electric motor for revolution. The controller performs control such that the target rotating speed for the manipulated variable is lower when the crane operation mode is selected than when the crane operation mode is not selected, and a rate of variation in rate of an increase in the target rotating speed to an increase in the manipulated variable is smaller.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
