A rod-shaped element (10) is provided with a material that is intended and suitable to emit a fragrance to the environment. By virtue of the fact that the rod-shaped element (10) has a core (11) as carrier material for a plastic (12) to which the fragrance is admixed, a rod-shaped element provided with a fragrance is created which ensures a long-lasting fragrance experience and favourable production. A method is provided for producing the rod-shaped element (10) provided with the fragrance, in which, by virtue of the fact that it is produced by extrusion of at least one plastic (12) which surrounds a core (11) as carrier material and to which plastic (12) the fragrance is admixed, a method is created which, while allowing favourable production, likewise ensures a long-lasting fragrance experience. |
