PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a higher device compliant with the air conditioning system HTTP Interface specification (SBC) standard protocol to monitor and control an air conditioner connected to a manufacturer-specific air conditioning network, and to provide a versatile air conditioning monitoring and control system at low cost.SOLUTION: An air conditioning system comprises: means for causing a protocol conversion adapter that relays a higher device mounting therein an SBC protocol to an air conditioner on a manufacturer-specific air conditioning network to detect the air conditioner present on the air conditioning network, to acquire an operation state thereof, to form a database, to receive an SBC air conditioner information acquisition request from the higher device, to read relevant air conditioning information from the database, to convert the read air conditioning information into an SBC protocol format, and to transmit the information to the higher device; and means for receiving an SBC air conditioner control request from the higher device, converting the control request to control data on the air conditioner network, and transmitting the control data to the air conditioner. |
