PURPOSE: A settlement terminal device of a slot machine game type and an operating method thereof are provided to offer the settlement terminal device with a slot machine game function operated by responding to the card information reading, the settlement price key input, and the credit inquiry request. CONSTITUTION: A reading part(115) initializes the slot machine game connected to the internal/external settlement terminal after reading the card information from a card presented by the client. A slot part(135) is operated by receiving a slot machine game signal from the client and/or a settlement terminal operator. An output part(110) displays a result of the slot machine game to the settlement terminal or the slot machine game. A CPU(105) controls the execution of the slot machine game or the operation of a slot machine game device.
