<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of driving a droplet discharge head which prevents the clogging of a nozzle opening of the droplet discharge head or the like and suppresses the futile use of a liquid, and to provide a droplet discharge apparatus and the like. <P>SOLUTION: The droplet discharge head has a cavity 121 for housing a prescribed liquid, and droplets are discharged from the nozzle opening 111 by changing the volume of the cavity by a piezoelectric device. In the normal discharge of the droplets, a normal driving wave form DN is applied to the piezoelectric device.
