<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To install an overhead buffer even in a case where load ports are continuously provided, and stop an overhead traveling vehicle to the overhead buffer by stop control to the load ports for transfer between the overhead buffer and the load port without moving the overhead traveling vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: At a side part of a traveling rail 4 of the overhead traveling vehicle 8, the overhead buffer 24 is provided on the opposite side to the load port 52.
