PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve sealing properties in a box body in which an electric double-layer capacitor body is housed. SOLUTION: A sheet 40 having a chemical resistance and a thermoplasticity and being made of a synthetic resin is thermowelded extensively over a whole periphery to a joining section 30-1 with the internal side face of a positive-side opening 16-3 in a positive-side terminal electrode 30. The sheet 42 having the chemical resistance and the thermoplasticity and being made of the synthetic resin is thermowelded extensively over the whole periphery to the joining section 32-1 with the internal side face of a negative-side opening 16-4 in a negative-side terminal electrode 32. The sheet 40 and the internal side face of the positive-side opening 16-3 are thermowelded extensively over the whole periphery.
