PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase positional shift of mutual housings allowable in fitting with the counter connector more in comparison with a conventional one. SOLUTION: This connector has a stationary side housing 10 which is fixed against the substrate 40 and which has an inner space 12, a movable side housing 20 which is positioned in this inner space 12, and which is installed so that a reception recess 23 to be fitted to the opposite side against the substrate 40 has an aperture on the side to be opposite to the substrate 40, and a plurality of contacts 30 retained by these housings 10, 20. Here, a U-shaped flexible part 35, which is formed between a part 31 retained by the stationary side housing 10 in the respective contacts 30 and a part 32 retained by the movable side housing 20 in the respective contacts 30, is extended toward the opposite side against the substrate 40 between the movable side housing 20 and the stationary side housing 10, and positioned in the contact protecting space 26 formed inward the contact protecting wall 25 installed at the movable side housing 20.
