PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a swing arm type suspension for a vehicle capable of rapidly performing the roll transmission from a vehicle body frame side to a rear wheel side. SOLUTION: In the swing arm type suspension for a motorcycle 10, a swing arm 32 is mounted on a pivot shaft 31 provided on the vehicle body frame side, more specifically, on a power unit 16 in a freely swinging manner, one end of a cushion unit 34 is mounted on the swing arm 32, the other end of the cushion unit 34 is mounted on the swing arm 32 and the power unit 16 via a cushion support link mechanism 37, and a rear wheel 33 is supported by the end of the swing arm 32. A roll support link mechanism 35 to transmit the roll in the right-to-left direction of the vehicle body to the swing arm 32 from seat rails 23, 23 on the vehicle body frame side is provided between a cross pipe 23A stretched over the right and left seat rails 23, 23 and the swing arm 32.
