PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface glossy embossed release paper which is usable for a synthetic leather manufacturing process carried out at temperatures of 200°C or more, and produces no omission of any coat layer in spite of repeated uses. SOLUTION: The release paper comprises a substrate and an embossed release layer provided thereon. The embossed release layer provides a resin composition layer containing an activated silane crosslinker in a polyolefin resin on the substrate to give a further improved heat resistance by a moisture cross-liking after subjecting the coating composition layer to the embossing.
