PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a workpiece removing method suitable for removing a workpiece, a locating device and a workpiece positioning device, in the locating device capable of confirming and detecting presence or absence of a vehicle body panel to be a positioning object without using an exterior type sensor. SOLUTION: This locating device 1 positions and supports the workpiece W by inserting a locating pin 3 into a locating hole W1 formed in the workpiece W and seating the workpiece W on a workpiece seating surface 21 at a root part of the locating pin 3. The locating device 1 is provided with a workpiece removing means (eject means 6) for separating a peripheral edge part of the locating hole W1 of the workpiece W from the workpiece seating surface 21 by pressing the peripheral edge part to a distal end side of the locating pin 3.
