PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently recover the heat held in combustion exhaust gas exhausted from a heating zone in a continuous annealing furnace, etc. SOLUTION: The rotary type heat exchanger disposed in the annealing furnace and raising the temp. of circulating gas circulating a preheating zone in the annealing furnace through a heat storage body (t) has the heat exchanger body 1 provided with the heat storage body (t) and continuously or intermittently rotatable itself, a combustion exhaust gas supplying passage 3 for giving the sensible heat of the combustion exhaust gas to the heat storage body (t) by blowing the combustion exhaust gas to this heat exchanger body and a circulating gas supplying passage for raising the temp. of a metallic strip by blowing the circulating gas to the heat storage body, recovering the sensible heat given to the storage heat body and blowing the circulating gas to the metallic strip passed through the preheating zone in the annealing furnace. |
