PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock type telephone system, a lock type telephone set, and a key with high security wherein personality and entertainment can sufficiently be developed with simple operations. SOLUTION: The lock type telephone system 100 is provided with the lock type telephone set 10 and the key 80 or the like. The lock type telephone set 10 is a mobile phone without an operation button, includes a first case 10A with a speaker section 21, a second case 10B with a microphone section 22, a projection 31 for preventing reverse mounting, and a lock part 30 or the like to which the key 80 is keyed in, the key 80 is a dimple key on which management information such as telephone number information and encryption information for managing a speech section inside the lock type telephone set 10 is recorded by means of the presence/absence of ruggedness formed to the surface and the rear side and keying in the key 80 to the lock part 30 controls the lock type telephone set 10.
