COMMUNICATION NODE APPARATUS, COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, AND PATH RESOURCE ASSIGNING METHOD

In a communication system including a plurality of communication node apparatuses, a message is exchanged among the plurality of communication node apparatuses, thereby establishing a path to be used for communication. Before the path establishment, a path identifier is decided which permits or inhibits a diversion of the resource of the path. Thereafter, the decided identification information is incorporated into a control message and then the path is established. A communication node apparatus for which the path has been established decides, based on the identification information in the control message, whether the resource of the path is to be diverted. Upon occurrence of an event, such as a failure, a resource diversion or a cancellation of the resource diversion, the communication node apparatus executes a process of changing the path priority. Thus, the priority can be changed such that the resource diversion can be most effectively performed.
