A system and a method for settling account service are provided to settle account at a client of a target enterpriser through an own demand unit which has an authentification unit by separating a demand unit of oneself from the authentification unit. A method for settling account service comprises: a step(703) for inquiring the charging availability of a payer based on the confirmation of customer information according to the payment unit and the payment information to a contents billing system; a step(704), at an authentication / billing mediation system, for performing the authentication for a payer through the authentification unit; a step(708) for claiming the payment amount of the settlement person to the payer with the charging from the authentication / billing mediation system to the contents billing system, if the authentication is succeeded; and a step(717) for producing the charge record for the payer through the contents billing system.
