PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide new effective methods and compositions for treating individuals afflicted with osteoarthritis.SOLUTION: A method comprises the step of administering to the individual: a binding protein that binds IL-1α and a binding protein that binds IL-1β; or a binding protein that binds both IL-1α and IL-1β.
