PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide spot welding equipment which can obtain excellent welding quality, when spot-welding an object to be welded which is a plate assembly formed by superposing plate materials.SOLUTION: Spot welding equipment includes: a fixed side electrode 15; a movable side electrode 25 which moves between an evacuation position leaving the fixed side electrode 15 and a pressurization position holding and pressurizing an object to be welded in cooperation with the fixed side electrode 15; and a sub-pressurization giving means 30 in which a sub-pressurization part 38 is arranged on an end of a shaft 35 moved by a sub-pressurization actuator 31 and which moves to a sub-pressurization position where the sub-pressurization part 38 adjoins the fixed side electrode 15 to make contact with the object to be welded by operation of the sub-pressurization actuator 31 so as to give sub-pressurization power to the object to be welded. The spot welding equipment includes a sub-pressurization part moving mechanism 40 which moves the sub-pressurization part 38 to a retreat position for evacuating from a spot operation area A with the movement of the shaft 35, when the sub-pressurization part moves from an area between the evacuation position where the sub-pressurization part moves with the movement of the shaft 35 by the sub-pressurization actuator 31 and the sub-pressurization position. |
