<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an environment information transmitting device capable of identifying an object, such as an obstacle, accurately. <P>SOLUTION: The environment information transmitting device 100, that transmits the environment information around a user by sounds output from two or more speakers 5-8, includes: a stereo camera 200 that takes an image of a pair of image data; a distance calculation means 14 that calculates distance information on the object included in the image data; a region extraction means 16 that extracts an alarming region where the distance information in the image data is below a reference value; and a sound processing means 18 that processes an environment representation sound to localize the sound image to a position corresponding to the extracted alarming region to output from the speakers 5-8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
