<p>A novel assay system for identifying nucleic acid sequences, polypeptides involved in alveolar function, development and turnover is provided. These nucleic acid sequences and polypeptides have application as therapeutics for pulmonary diseases and conditions, and in screening methods for identifying compounds that 'turn on' or 'turn off' these nucleic acid sequences.</p> |
