METHOD FOR TREATING FRESH FISH

A method for treating living fish, characterized as keeping the living fish to live in an alkaline aqueous solution and then immersing the fish or allowing it to swim in water or an acidic aqueous solution, to thereby wash the fish with water or neutralize it. The method can be employed for obtaining living fish which is improved in the quality of fish meat or is prolonged with respect to an appreciation period or which can produce a visera or the like having improved quality.
