A recording apparatus (100) for recording information on a record medium (DKo) is provided with: a controller (1) for generating a start address of each time-unit piece of main information divided by a predetermined time unit based on time information corresponding to the main information; a processing device (3) for coding and compressing the main information by every predetermined compression unit to generate a plurality of compression-unit pieces of compressed data; and a recording device (SW1, 5, 6) for recording the plurality of compression-unit pieces of compressed data and the generated start address as at least a portion of access information for the main information onto the record medium.
