Combination of a medical implant and a guide wire

摘要

Implant is inserted in rolled-up form through a micro-catheter using a guide wire. It has a mesh structure (3), the number of meshes reducing towards the proximal end and finally coming to a point (5). Independent claims are also included for: (1) a neurostent as described above; (2) use of the neurostent to close vessel wall defects, fistulas and vessel bifurcations; (3) the combination of a guide wire and the implant attached to its distal end; and (4) a system for treating aneurisms or other vascular defects comprising a microcatheter, two guide wires and the implant.
