PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent lamp soot smell such as mist, smoke, steam occurring in the case of heating food materials 5 from being scattered to the surrounding. SOLUTION: The cooker which is provided with a heating plate 1 for heating and which cooks the food material 5 on this heating plate 1 has a tray holding part 6 holding a tray 7 on the plate 1, and is provided with a vertically moving mechanism which vertically moves the plate 1 with respect to the tray positioned and fixed by the tray holding part 6. Moreover, the cooker is provided with an air sending duct 16 and an exhaust duct 21 for forcedly exhausting the lamp soot smell occurring from the surrounding of the plate 1 in the case of heating the food material 5, and a thermal decomposition type lamp soot smell removing unit 11 which burns and removes organic components in the exhaust is provided at the exhaust duct 21.
