A voltage boosting circuit and method is provided to reduce a manufacturing cost by reducing the number of transistors and capacitors. A first boosting part receives a first supply voltage, and boosts the voltage twice to generate a second supply voltage. A second boosting part receives the first supply voltage and the second supply voltage generated by the first boosting part, and boosts the first and second voltage N times. The first boosting part includes a first capacitor connected between first and second nodes and a second capacitor connected to a boosting voltage node. The second boosting part includes third to fifth capacitors respectively connected between third to eighth nodes and a sixth capacitor connected to a second boosting voltage node. |
