An LCD is provided to reduce kick back voltage by increasing storage capacity. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) comprises first and second insulating substrates(111,211), gate and data lines(122,123), a pixel electrode and a common electrode. The pixel electrode prepared in a pixel area comprises the following parts. A stem electrode is parallel to the data line. Plural first branch electrodes are connected to the stem electrode and tilted at first angle on a prolongation direction of the gate line. Plural second branch electrodes are connected to the stem electrode and tilted at second angle in a prolongation direction of the gate line. A first storage electrode(165) is formed between the first and second branch electrodes as having a width bigger than widths of the first and second branch electrodes. The common electrode is formed on the second insulating substrate, and comprises a third branch electrode(251) and a second storage electrode(252). The third branch electrode is disposed between the first branch electrodes and between the second branch electrodes, and arranged to be substantially parallel to the first and second branch electrodes. The second storage electrode is located on the first storage electrode.
