PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telescopic ladder which regulates expansion in a contracted state by engaging a regulation member, provided in an upper ladder of the telescopic ladder expandably/contractibly composed of the upper ladder vertically movable with respect to a lower ladder, with a rung of the lower ladder, and which can shorten an interval between the regulation member and the rung of the lower ladder. SOLUTION: The regulation member 62 comprises a portion 77 to be supported, which is supported in such a manner as to be freely rotated on the vertical axis, on a mounting base 61 mounted on a support 11C, and an abutting portion 76 which abuts on the rung 12A. The portion 77 is rotated on the vertical axis, so that the abutting portion 76 can be displaced between a regulating position to be located on the downside of the rung 12A of the lower ladder 11A, and a receding position to recede from the downside of the rung 12A of the lower ladder 11A.
