PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable electronic apparatus which notifies a user so that the user can recognize a dangerousness of a low temperature burn when the user carries it about with being in his/her pocket, and a burn preventing method in the portable electronic apparatus. SOLUTION: A timer is operated to measure a temperature for each given time by a temperature sensor (step S504). A temperature rising speed is calculated by use of a timer value tn and a temperature Tn measured by the temperature sensor (step S505). This temperature rising speed is compared with a temperature rising curve inside a table, and it is determined whether to be in danger of the low temperature burn by a temperature rise under an airtight environment (step S506).
