PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform color processing according to image data to be output. SOLUTION: Image data of a color chart are generated based on image data to be output (step S111). The image data of the color chart are output to a printer (steps S112, S102 and S103). Colorimetric data of the color chart are acquired (step S104). On the basis of the colorimetric data of the color chart, color correction is then performed on the image data to be output (steps S105, S113 and S114). In such a case, an image to be output is divided into regions, a representative color is determined for each region, and a color chart is generated in accordance with the region and its representative color.
