The invention concerns a guiding device 200 for guiding the sawing means of a power driven saw. The guiding device 200 comprises an elongated guiding rail 20 which is arranged having at least one protruding portion 121 arranged at an intermediate portion thereof, for providing a projecting cutting profile of the sawing means with respect to the elongated guiding rail. Thereby, a guiding device with a projecting cutting profile of the sawing means is provided that, in contrast to a conventional guide bar which is substantially flat or just slightly convex, has a cutting profile which works deeper into the timber than the rest of the sawing means at a selected position. |
