Provided are a method for molding a synthetic resin molded-article and the synthetic resin molded-article capable of reducing the turbulence of the flow of a molten resin at the side edge of a molded-article body at injection molding and capable of elegantly showing the design surface of the molded-article body. A synthetic resin molded-article is provided with a curved part (3) curved toward a rear-surface side thereof along a side edge of a molded-article body (2), and a flange part (4) laterally projecting from the curved part (3), the flange part (4) having notch parts (5). A method for molding the synthetic resin molded-article includes: performing injection molding using a colored resin material kneaded with a brilliant material while setting a gate at a position corresponding to a terminal on one side in the length direction of the flange part (4); and molding, in the curved part (3), a thin part (6) in the length direction of the curved part (3) so that the rear surface side of the curved part (3) is grooved. |
