PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device which can suppress the deterioration of a function of a spring by enhancing a cleaning effect of the spring arranged at a mechanical seal.SOLUTION: A sealing device 100 comprises: a first mechanical seal 110 having a rotating ring 112, a fixed ring 111 slidably arranged at the rotating ring 112, and a spring 115 for energizing the fixed ring 111 toward the rotating ring 112 side; and a flow passage in which a quenching liquid sent from a region of an air side (A) flows to a slide area between the rotating ring 112 and the fixed ring 111. An attachment hole 113c attached with the spring 115 and a quenching liquid passage 113b opened at a hole bottom of the attachment hole 113c are formed at an annular member 113, and thereby a passage is formed in which the quenching liquid flows at the inside of the spring 115 from one end side of the spring 115 up to the other end. |
