The communication unit is configured to perform communication with an external apparatus. The control unit is configured to perform driving control of a zoom lens in response to a zoom operation accepted by the operation input unit or a zoom control signal received by the communication unit. The control unit is also configured to selectively set a zoom position changing speed for driving control performed in response to the zoom operation and a zoom position changing speed for driving control performed in response to the zoom control signal, the zoom position changing speeds being different from each other.
