PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrially implementable and efficient method for producing a norbornene-based addition copolymer having excellent transparency, heat resistance, low water absorbency, and electric insulation characteristics.SOLUTION: A method for producing a norbornene-based addition copolymer in which, when norbornene-based monomers corresponding to monomer units represented by the formula (1) and the formula (2) are copolymerized by a precipitation polymerization method, the copolymer liquid generated is diluted with ethyl acetate, and thereafter when the norbornene-based addition copolymer is isolated, the temperature at which dilution of the copolymer liquid is initiated is set between 30 to 70°C.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
