PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preparative chromatograph that can accurately discern the start and end of elution of each component irrespective of its relative quantity and reliably collect the target component.SOLUTION: A preparative chromatograph is equipped with a chromatograph 10 having a column 14 and a detector 15; a fraction collector 20 that collects the target component; a controller 30 that causes the fraction collector 20 to start collection on the basis of the time when the variation rate of output signals has become larger than a positive reference value and to end collection on the basis of the time when, after the variation rate turns negative, has become smaller than the absolute value of a predetermined negative reference value; a memory 31 that stores sampling rate information in which the values of output signals from the detector 15 and time intervals at which the controller 30 figures out the variation rate are associated with each other; and a sampling rate determining unit 33 that determines the time intervals at which the values of output signals are figured out on the basis of the sampling rate information and the values of output signals from the detector 15.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
