PURPOSE: A method for exchanging a user message between interactive disk players is provided to compare a play time included in a message request with a play time included in a stored user message, and to transmit the user message to the second interactive disk player according to the compared results, thereby exchanging a user's opinions about a movie scene with other party. CONSTITUTION: The first DVD player reads all ENAV data which is recorded in an interactive DVD or receives ENAV data associated with the DVD from a contents sever to store the read/received ENAV data in an inner memory, and starts playing a DVD(E1). If the first user inputs a message inquiring about contents of a specific scene(E2), the first DVD player specifies a type of the message. When a message frame is transmitted to the contents server(E3), the contents server stores the message frame in its database. The second user starts playing a scene identical with that of the interactive DVD played by the first users(E4), and a user message written by the first user is received in the second DVD player(E5). The user message is displayed on another message window(E6). The second DVD player suggests a response window, and configures a message inputted through the response window as a response message frame(E7). The response message frame is transmitted to the contents server(E8). The contents server transmits a message request to the first DVD player(E9). The first DVD player outputs the user message(E10).
