摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low pressure mercury vapor discharge single base fluorescent lamp in which the apparatus installation ratio is not lowered, the manufacturing defective ratio is not increased, and the coldest temperature can be lowered to an optimal temperature. SOLUTION: This is a low pressure mercury vapor discharge single base fluorescent lamp which uses a U-tube having a tube outer diameter of 16 mm or less and a lamp current of 290 mA or more and in which each U-tube has two straight-line shape longitudinal direction tube portions extending mutually in parallel with a close interval, one horizontal direction tube portion that connects the respective longitudinal direction tube portions, and a curved tube portion in transition part between the longitudinal direction tube portions and the horizontal direction tube portion, and which does not regulate the mercury vapor pressure. A drawing processed portion which hardly becomes a discharge path is provided on the outside bus line side M<SB>LQ</SB>of the curved tube portion in the transition part between the longitudinal direction tube portion and the horizontal direction tube portion, and when the tube inner diameter at the center of the horizontal direction tube portion is made D<SB>Q</SB>and the tube inner diameter of the cross-section diagonal to the discharge path of the curved tube portion (the inner tube distance from the inner bus line of the curved tube portion to the outside bus line M<SB>LQ</SB>direction) is made D<SB>LQ</SB>, D<SB>LQ</SB>>D<SB>Q</SB>is satisfied.
