<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery having high capacity and high rate characteristics by improving the tap density and an electron conduction network of a positive active material. <P>SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery uses a positive active material comprising a mixed composition of an active material A represented by general formula Li<SB>x</SB>M<SP>1</SP>O<SB>2</SB>(wherein, M<SP>1</SP>: at least one kind selected from Co, Ni, Mn, Fe, Cr, and Ti; 0.90<x<1.10) and a different element solid solution active material B represented by general formula Li<SB>x</SB>M<SP>2</SP><SB>y</SB>M<SP>3</SP><SB>1-y</SB>O<SB>2</SB>(wherein, M<SP>3</SP>: at least one kind selected from Co, Ni, Mn, Fe, Cr, and Ti; M<SP>2</SP>: at least one kind selected from Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, B, Al, Ga, In, Cu, Ag, Au, and Zn; 0.90<x<1.10; 0.005<y<0.15). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
