The unit (1) has a sprocket (E), which is torque-proofly connected with a support for supporting a solar energy producing unit (B), and drive units (D) e.g. gear wheel, are formed or work together with the sprocket for uniaxial tracking of the sprocket to rotate around a rotation axis (A). The sprocket is cut by a laser cutting device or high pressure liquid jet cutting device from a raw material e.g. steel sheet. The sprocket, support and/or the solar energy producing unit is rotatably supported around the rotation axis, where the sprocket is formed in a semicircular shape. An independent claim is also included for a method of manufacturing a tracking unit. |
