摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle suspension system comprising a means for simply estimating friction force of an electromagnetic shock absorber. SOLUTION: Friction force fr between a sprung side unit and an unsprung side unit is estimated based on the current being supplied from a power source to an electromagnetic motor when changing a distance between the sprung side and the unsprung side by controlling operation of a shock absorber, for example, the current i<SB>r</SB>being supplied at the point when the set distance between the sprung side unit and the unsprung side unit is maintained (S6-S8). Consequently, this system can easily estimate friction force between the sprung side unit and the unsprung side unit. Since a current sensor provided to control the motor is used to detect the supplied current, it is unnecessary to add another sensor, and the system of a simple structure can be provided.
