PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium driving device which can smoothly perform the inserting operation and ejecting operation of a medium casing. SOLUTION: When a medium casing 1 is inserted, a locking projection 25a formed at a transport member 25 locks a locking recessed part 2A of the medium casing 1 side to guide the medium casing 1 deep into the device (Y1 direction). Since a top surface 21A is made to oppose a pair of pressing parts 25c while the medium casing 1 is moved, a locked state is not released carelessly. When the medium casing 1 is ejected, since the pair of pressing parts 25c presses the front end of the Y1 side of the medium casing 1, the medium casing 1 can be surely ejected.
