PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content verification device and a content verification system capable of efficiently verifying a content compliant with the HD DVD standard. SOLUTION: The content verification system 1 includes an HD DVD player 2 and a PC 4 connected to the HD DVD player 2. When an emulator application 200b installed in the HD DVD player 2 is started up, reproduction from a reading unit 201, reproduction from an external hard disk 5 connected to an external input unit 203, reproduction from a storage unit 204, or the like can be designated, whereby a produced content can be efficiently verified.
