PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of providing an image in which a change in density (ghost) due to a history in the previous cycle is suppressed.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes a photoreceptor 12 that has an undercoat layer including at least one electron acceptable compound. The image forming apparatus further includes a control unit 36 that performs, when the number of output of the continuously formed same images and the speed of process of image formation are in a predetermined relationship after completion of the image formation, a recovery sequence of rotating the photoreceptor 12 while applying voltage to a charging member 14 and a transfer member 20 and exposing the surface of the photoreceptor 12 with an electricity removing device 24. |
