PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an unmelted ore detection method which can detect falling of unmelted ores appropriately and a blast furnace operation method using it.SOLUTION: A camera 11 is arranged in the vicinity of a tuyere 2 of a blast furnace, and a raceway part is imaged through a window 6 for monitoring the inside of the furnace provided in the tuyere 2. A phenomenon that the brightness of the image imaged by the camera 11 increases or decreases in a short time is monitored. When such a variation of the brightness is detected, falling of unmelted ores is determined. A variation of the brightness is detected by subjecting the movement average data of the maximum brightness in the image to a movement standard deviation filter and subjecting the results of the filtering to threshold value processing. |
