A method for detecting Aβ amyloidosis in a subject, the method comprising measuring the in vivo relative labeling of at least two Aβ variants in a blood sample from the subject, and calculating a ratio of relative labeling of the first Aβ variant to the relative labeling of the second Aβ variant, wherein a ratio other than 1 indicates the presence of Aβ amyloidosis.
