<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a conventional technology, or to provide a substitute form for the conventional technology. <P>SOLUTION: In a method and an apparatus for forming a film web made from a thermoplastic material, the thermoplastic material is extruded from a wide slit nozzle 2, as a plastic molten material in the extrusion direction thereof, into at least one layer, and thereafter, is introduced to advance in first on at least a roller 3. Then, by applying tension in the extrusion direction and lateral direction to the extrusion direction, the film web is stretched in the longitudinal direction and the lateral direction.
